Story Points commitment completion
eazyBI for Jira
On this page:
Overview
Track the story points commitment completion by sprints in the selected project – story points committed, added, completed of committed, completed of added, and committed completion %.
How to build it
To build this report, start with the table view and select the Sprint dimension in Rows, select the "Sprint" level from the "By status" hierarchy to see the report information at the sprint level.
In the Measures dimension, select measures:
- Sprint Story Points committed - measure displays the total of Story Points from issues assigned to a selected sprint at the time when the sprint was started. Story points are counted from issues, no matter if they were completed or not at the start of the sprint.
- Sprint Story Points added - the total of Story Points for issues that have been moved to (added) a selected sprint while the sprint was active. Those measures indicate that the scope of the sprint was changed after the start of the sprint.
- Sprint Story Points completed of committed - a total of story points from sprint issues were committed when the sprint started and completed at the moment when the sprint was closed.
- Sprint Story Points completed of added - a total of story points from sprint issues were added to the sprint while the sprint was active and completed at the moment when the sprint was closed.
- Sprint Story Points committed completion % - the percentage is calculated as sprint story points completed of committed divided by sprint story points committed. This shows how many planned story points are actually done at the end of the sprint.
Filter the report rows by the measure Last closed sprints by boards with the condition "=<10". Remove the measure "Last closed sprints by boards" from the report view, the filter is still active and will filter the last ten closed sprints in the report.
In Pages, select the dimension "Project" for filtering. When the sample report is created in eazyBI, eazyBI automatically selects the first project with report measures for filtering. Additionally, add "Issue type" in Pages and select "All Issue Types by type" from the "By type" hierarchy to filter issues by Standard issue types. Also, add a "Sprint" dimension in "Pages" and filter all Closed sprints. Select the option "Hide empty rows" to hide rows without data.
Then, switch to the Bar tab and select Vertical and Stacked in the toolbox options. Change colors for measures. To measure "Sprint Story Points committed completion %," change the type to a line, and use a separate axis (for example, 1) to show the percentage on a separate scale. Add a description to the report.
