Publish in JSM Portal
eazyBI for Jira
eazyBI dashboards can be shared with Jira Service Management (JSM) users or user groups in the Jira Service Management Customer portal.
The option to share the dashboard on the JSM portal is available if Jira Service Management is installed.
Enable the JSM sharing option
Jira Cloud
To enable the JSM sharing option in eazyBI for Jira Cloud, go to Settings → General and select "Share to JSM portal"
Jira Data Center
To enable the JSM sharing option in eazyBI for Jira Data Center, go to Settings → Additional and select "Share to JSM portal"
Create a new data access role
In the eazyBI account (from which you wish to share dashboards to the JSM portal), create a new data access role with enabled role settings "Share dashboards to JSM portal users with this role." Note that you can create multiple roles with this setting, and thus you can create multiple dashboards in one eazyBI account with different user access.
In the Account users [1] tab add Jira users, Jira user groups, or Jira Service Management organizations to the eazyBI account with at least the role "Dashboard viewer" and add them to the data access role [2].
Share the dashboard in the JSM portal
In the Dashboards tab, click on the lock icon [1] in the toolbar and specify data access roles that are allowed to see this dashboard [2].
Define sharing and allowed actions per dashboard
The allowed actions per dashboard are available only on Cloud.
By default, dashboards shared in the JSM portal are read-only and customers can see the reports but can not interact with them. With JSM portal options, you can control for each dashboard which actions portal customers are allowed to use.
In the Dashboards tab, select the dashboard, open the dashboard actions menu [1], and select JSM portal options [2].
In the JSM portal options dialog, specify the following options:
- Share to JSM portal [3] – select one or more data access roles with the JSM portal sharing option. This is the same sharing as with the lock icon described above; selecting roles here updates the dashboard's data access roles while keeping any other role restrictions unchanged.
- Allowed actions [4] – select which actions customers can use in the shared dashboard: Expand / Drill into, Drill through, Drill across, and Page filter selection. Actions that are not selected stay disabled for portal customers.
- Enable results export [5] – allow customers to export report and dashboard results.
Click Save. The changes apply to the dashboard in the JSM portal immediately; customers see them the next time they open the dashboard.
Access the eazyBI dashboard in the JSM portal
Users with the data access role can see eazyBI dashboards in the JSM portal under their user menu.
Dashboards shared in the JSM portal are read-only. Portal users can view the reports but cannot interact with them, unless you allow specific actions in the dashboard's JSM portal options.
Sharing a dashboard also shares its data: portal users see exactly the same figures as eazyBI users. Check what the reports expose before you share them.
eazyBI does not use the same user permission schema as Jira. All eazyBI users who have access to the account can generally access all imported information in that account, regardless of whether they have access to these data in Jira or not.
