Overview
This report shows how many issues in each corresponding cycle (defined by name in the report) have been started and ended over a time period together with average cycle days and issues in the cycle.
How to build it
To build this report start with table view and in the Measures dimension select measures Issues <Cycle Name> started, Issues <Cycle Name> ended, Average <Cycle Name> days and Issues in <Cycle Name>.
- "Issues <Cycle Name> started" measure is the total number of issues starting the cycle that match selected dimension members. The measure is grouped by by the first date when the issue moved to any status of the cycle on the Time dimension.
- "Issues <Cycle Name> ended" are the number of issues that ended the cycle and currently are not in the cycle. The measure is grouped on the Time dimension by the last date when the issue moved from any status of the cycle to any other not-cycle status.
- "Average <Cycle Name> days " hows average days of the total time the issue spent in any status of the cycle and currently is not in the cycle. On the Time dimension, grouped by the last date when the issue moved from the cycle to any other not-cycle status
- "Issues in <Cycle Name>" is a number of issues in the progress cycle at the end of the corresponding Time dimension period (as "Issues Progress started" minus "Issues Progress ended" from the beginning of the time until the end of the selected time period).
Use Time dimension in Rows. Configure Time dimension as is more comfortable, e.g. "Monthly" to see how many issues were for each measure at the end of each Month.
Add the same Time dimension to Pages for filtering report data and select predefined calculated member Last 12 months from Time dimension, use it to filter the report data. From the Time dimensions select also calculated members "All Times", "Current year", and "Previous year" so they are available in Page filter options.
In Pages also select dimensions "Project", "Issue type", "Priority" and "Assignee" for report filtering.
To show this report as a chart switch to Line chart and for measures "Issues <Cycle Name> started" and "Issues <Cycle Name> ended" change the chart type to column. For measures "Average <Cycle Name> days" and "Issues in <Cycle Name>" use two separate axes options. For the "Average <Cycle Name> days" axis add suffix ' days' to represent the metric used for this axis.
