Take over eazyBI account

This page is for eazyBI account Owners and User Admins who have taken over the existing eazyBI account without full context from the previous person. If you do not have one of these roles, reach out to the account Owner.

When the person who originally set up or managed the account is no longer available, the account structure, report context, import routines, and permissions may be unclear. This guide helps to review, stabilize, and understand the account.

Verify and establish account ownership

Verify that both the account owner and the user who authorized data imports are active Jira users and involved with this account’s data and reports.

  • If the original Owner is no longer involved or cannot make the necessary changes, change the owner.
  • If authorization tokens are outdated and cause data import to fail, update the authentication information for the failing data source to reconnect the source application. For Jira and Assets data sources, use the reset authorization option. For other data sources, such as REST APIs, edit the import options and update the authorisation parameters with valid credentials.

Review and fix failed data imports

In the Source Data view, review the source applications and confirm that all are connected, authorized, and that the data are imported. Re-run data imports by clicking on Import. If the import fails, click on the status to view the error message details.

Troubleshoot reports that do not work as expected

Use AI assistants to interpret existing definitions, structure, and MDX formulas if the report outcome isn't clear. Ask the AI assistant on the Home page any questions about eazyBI functionality or navigation to get started and find answers in the documentation.

Follow the recommended order of report troubleshooting steps if the report outcome does not match the expected results or if data are missing.

Maintain the account over time

Account Owner is responsible for keeping accounts clean over time:
